IT Directors
Own the strategy; hand us the execution and on-site support.
You design it. We deploy it — and support it. Certified local hands in Houston for IT directors and out-of-town teams that need execution on the ground.
Not every business needs an IT department, and not every IT department needs to be local. Plenty of Houston companies already have an IT director, and plenty of out-of-state teams and MSPs already own the strategy — what they lack is certified hands on the ground to actually execute and support the work. That is exactly what co-managed IT is: you keep control of the design and the decisions, and Stratos Group becomes your local execution and support arm in Houston. You design it. We deploy it — and support it.
Tap the solution you care about to see the detail.
Your director or MSP decides the design; we put boots on the ground to build it. Structured cabling, network switching and Wi-Fi, security cameras, access control, server and hardware installs — executed by certified technicians who show up, do it right the first time, and document what they did. You get flawless on-site execution without flying someone in or hiring a full crew you only need part of the time.
WHAT THIS INCLUDES:
Internal IT teams get stretched — a big rollout, a departure, a season of too many projects. Instead of over-hiring for the peak, you extend your team with ours on demand. We handle the field work and the overflow so your people stay focused on what only they can do, and you scale execution up and down without carrying the fixed cost of extra headcount.
WHAT THIS INCLUDES:
When your standard has to land the same way at every site, coordinating separate local vendors per location is a nightmare. We become the single Houston-area execution partner that deploys your design consistently across all your sites — same standard, same documentation, one point of contact — so a director or MSP running locations from anywhere gets uniform results on the ground.
WHAT THIS INCLUDES:
Co-managed does not end at the install. We provide ongoing smart hands and field services — swaps, moves, adds and changes, on-site troubleshooting, and being the local presence your remote team can dispatch. One accountable partner who already knows your environment, with no subcontractors handed the work and no finger-pointing when something needs attention.
WHAT THIS INCLUDES:
Own the strategy; hand us the execution and on-site support.
Your Houston hands — deploy and support what you manage remotely.
One local partner deploying your standard at every location.
A certified crew for a one-off rollout or a specific build.
Your IT director or MSP owns the strategy, the standards and every decision — the plan is yours.
Our certified Houston crew executes on the ground: cabling, network, cameras, access control and hardware, to your spec.
We stay on as your local smart hands and field service — you keep control, we keep it running.
Co-managed IT is a split model: you keep the parts you want — usually strategy, vendors and decisions — and hand off certified on-site execution and ongoing field support to us. It fits companies that have an IT director but no local team, and remote teams or MSPs that need trusted hands in Houston.
Usually, yes. An in-house field crew means salaries, benefits, vehicles, tools and certifications carried all year, even though the work comes in peaks. Co-managed turns that into execution you scale on demand — you pay for the hands when a project needs them, not to keep a crew idle between projects.
Yes — that is one of our core co-managed models. Your team owns the environment and the decisions from afar; we are the certified Houston presence you dispatch to deploy, swap, fix and support anything on the ground, to your standard.
No. The people who plan the work are the people who do it and support it afterward. That single-team accountability is central to how co-managed works — one partner you can hand something to without managing a chain of vendors.
Execution of a director-specified design (cabling, network, cameras, access, hardware), overflow support for a busy internal team, multi-site rollouts of one standard, and one-off project work like a build-out, office move or upgrade. You keep control; we execute and support.
Co-managed IT is a split of responsibility, not a takeover. In a fully managed (MSP) relationship, the provider owns everything. In co-managed, you keep the parts you want — usually the strategy, the vendor relationships, the decisions — and hand off the parts you cannot cover locally: the certified on-site execution and the ongoing field support. It is the model for two kinds of Houston business.
The first is a company that already has an IT director or manager but no local team to physically do the work. The director knows exactly what they want; they just need reliable certified hands to install it and keep it running. The second is a remote or out-of-state IT team or MSP that manages the environment from afar and needs a trusted local presence in Houston to be dispatched for anything on the ground. In both cases, you stay in control and we become the execution layer.
Building an in-house field team is expensive: salaries, benefits, vehicles, tools, training and certifications — carried year-round even though the workload comes in peaks. Co-managed converts that fixed cost into execution you scale on demand. You pay for the hands when a rollout or a project needs them, and you do not pay to keep a crew idle between projects.
It is also cheaper than the alternative most out-of-town teams resort to: flying staff in, or gambling on whichever local contractor is available that week. With a standing co-managed partner, the crew already knows your environment and your standard, so there is no ramp-up, no travel cost and no quality lottery. You get the certified execution of an internal team at the cost of only using it when you need it.
The most common is straightforward execution: the director specifies the cabling, the network, the cameras or the hardware, and we install and document it to that spec. Next is overflow — an internal team buried under a big project extends itself with our crew rather than over-hiring. Multi-site rollouts are a natural fit: one local partner deploying the same standard across every location. And project work — a single build-out, an office move, a camera or access upgrade — where you need a certified crew once, not a permanent hire.
Across all of it, one thing stays constant: no subcontractors. The people who plan the work are the people who do it and the people who support it afterward. That single-team accountability is the difference between a partner you can hand something to and forget, and a vendor you have to manage.
We provide co-managed IT execution and field services across the Houston metro from Katy: Houston, Sugar Land, Cypress, Spring, Pearland, Pasadena, The Woodlands and Conroe — and we serve as the Houston hands for multi-site businesses and out-of-state teams operating across Texas.
